What a day we had today! Lana was officially inducted into the ‘ORDER OF THE VOLGEHOLZ!’  loosely translated from the Yiddish to mean:  

 ’The Order of the Rolling Pin!’    

Lana visited with Bubby and PeePa and together we decided to try to use up the ‘chametz’ before Pesach arrives…. and what else to do? but make cookies. 

Sous Chef Bubby assisted Executive Chef Lana in collecting all the ingredients to make oatmeal raisin cookies. Of course, Chef Lana helped Chef Bubby read the directions to make sure that Chef Bubby followed the directions correctly!

Chef Lana measured, poured, stirred (Chef Lana knows how to do it all.. but she decided to let Chef Bubby use the electric mixer), so they did the ’scoop and slide’ to get the batter on the cookie sheet. 

Can’t you just smell the lovin’ from the oven????

Ooops.. sorry, but there are no pictures of the finished product…

they needed to be hidden from the camera so they could be saved for Hudson!

Robin and Alvin received a phone call from Lana asking if she could come and visit. She said that the pool at her house was great…but she really just wanted to ‘chill‘ on this hot day and she would love to spend the time with Bubby and PeePa… and everyone knows they would never say no to Lana!!!!

So, Lana and and PeePa donned their shades and had such fun in the sun!

HUDSON RORY SCHWARTZ’s grand entrance was made tonight, March 11, 2008, at 9:57 PM, and what an entrance it was!

Mommy and Daddy reported that he made his appearance with a loud cry demanding that he wanted to meet the whole family.  His first wish was granted….

Lana called her Bubby and PeePa to see if she could visit with them. 

 No surprise - Bubby and PeePa, of course, said, “Sure, Lana, come on over!”

So, Lana brought her tricycle with her and then asked Bubby and PeePa if she could ride around the neighborhood to inspect all the lawns …

she needed to make sure the flowers were all straight!

Did that, and then gave the ol’ thumbs up for perfection!

Happy Birthday, Robin

“COME ON DOWN TO SUNNY FLORIDA!”

That was the call that was sent by Robin and Alvin to their friends, ‘Buffy and Jody’ 

(aka Randy and Jeff) who live in Connecticut.

“Help! Help! Get us out of the cold and into the warm Florida sun!” they cried. 

So, Robin and Alvin welcomed Randy and Jeff to their home and, in order to help Randy and Jeff get through the dreary days of February, a little side trip was planned and they all went to The Breakers of Palm Beach.

It is always fun to welcome in the new year with friends, laughter, and a little imbibing!!!

Lana was so excited that she had her first haircut that she called Bubby and PeePa to let them know. The only problem was that PeePa was so jealous… he felt that Lana should have taken the leftover hair and given it to him!
